Across the many faiths, traditions, cultures, and ways of understanding the sacred that make up our community, we do not share the same beliefs—and we do not need to. What we can share are values that shape how we meet one another and how we choose to live together.

These values emerged through dialogue among Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council members representing approximately 20 faith traditions. While each tradition understands and expresses them differently, we found these values offer common ground, and encompass others including forgiveness, justice, inclusion, kindness, and service.
