The GKCIC offers to assist hospice chaplains in their care.

We realize there are times when patients may request a visit from their faith community and Hospice Chaplains may not know where to turn for that assistance. We would like to offer volunteers from our organization to act as “spiritual friends” in the Greater Kansas City area. This would be a role of support for the chaplains in the hospice program. Chaplains may call participating Council members during normal business hours (9 am-5 pm) to request assistance in working with a patient from one of the faith traditions represented. The Council member will be available to make phone calls or personal visits with patients when needed.
