The Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council's Speakers Bureau is dedicated to building relationships within our multi-cultural and diverse spiritual community as part of the Council's mission of growing a sustainable, pervasive culture of knowledge, respect, appreciation and trust for all people, and all cultural, religious and spiritual traditions.
Each GKCIC Speaker is a spriitual leader within their faith community and offers a professional and spiritual presence that embraches the goals of the Council. Our speakers are eager to share their personal understanding and experience of their faith traditions.
Many of our Speakers are also available to visit hospice, hospitals and nursing home patients as part of our GKCIC Spiritual Friends program; and many are available to be called upon to facilitate prayer services, memorial services and other ceremonies. Please feel free to explore our member's pages, or contact our Speakers Bureau Coordinator for more information.
We also have speakers that can speak of the Council's many programs and work we are doing in the community, and how your organization can partner with us in our vision to make the Greater Kansas City area, "the most welcoming community for all people".
Though fees are not required by the GKCIC, honorariums are very much appreciated, as are contributions to the community of faith the Speaker represents.
Faith Speakers may be contacted individually, by clicking on the individual faiths below, or, you may contact our Speakers Bureau Coordinator, Rev. Dr. Kara Hawkins, who will be happy to help you in settling up your speaking engagement, or help you coordinate a panel of speakers, or a religion series. Whatever your Speakers Bureau needs, we are happy to be of service.
