The Interfaith Youth Alliance (IYA) is a collaborative program with various individuals who are interested in involving the youth of Kansas City in an interfaith movement. The Council have been working to form an Interfaith Youth Alliance with the goal of bringing together youth from various faiths to educate about faith diversity within Kansas City communities. An annual program and fundraiser for GKCIC, the luncheon focuses on a theme relating to interfaith issues. Two awards are presented: The Steve Jeffers Interfaith Leadership Award to an individual who exhibits interfaith values in the community and the Table of Faiths Award, to an organization that exhibits interfaith values in the community. Vital Conversations
Vital Conversations are intentional gatherings of people to engage in dialog that will add value to the participants and to the world. In Vital Conversations we become co-creators of a better community. The Vital Conversations Book Club meets each month and welcomes all people to attend our conversations and celebrate the rich pluralism of the greater Kansas City area. Midsummer's Light
